Our History
The Christian Praise International Centre (C.P.I.C) is a great end time ministry whose establishment was influenced by the audible instruction of God to His servant Bishop Prof. Annor-Yeboah of blessed memory. In the midst of rebellion against his leadership in his mother Church (Christ Apostolic Church International) when he proposed social development agendas like the establishment of universities, training Centre for the general well being of the church, the executive council of CACI by then proposed that monies be shared among all the council members, When he had refused to bow to their proposal they began a conscious agenda to boot him out service and his calling.
As they sought to succeed in their agenda they began maltreating the servant of the Lord. In short the servant of the Lord, Apostle Annor-Yeboah fasted and prayed for direction with some other intercessors with him, then the Lord instructed him in His audible voice to set himself apart for an end-time purpose-oriented ministry, which He the Lord had prepared for him and said unto him “I am thy exceeding great reward”. The Lord also showed His servant a vision which led to the naming of the church and its purpose. In the vision, he saw a large crowd of people of all races and people who had no end and beheld in the cloud the name of ministry as “Christian Praise” written clearly on a large banner. He had handed over to the new executives of the church in a fierce election and accounted for all his 18 years as General Sectary and acting Chairman of the church.
He then moved to establish the Christian Praise International Centre, aka CPIC On 27th July, 2003 as the Lord had commanded him. CPIC first began in the West African state of Ghana in the Greater Accra Region and was officially inaugurated on … August, 2003. By the second Sunday in August, 2003 the congregational gathering miraculously numbered up to 2,016 at the International Trade Fair Centre, Accra. We say it is a miracle because the church did no official advert or send any invite to anyone.
Three months after its establishment, the Church moved from the International Trade Fair Centre site to a new place which is at present the headquarters of the ministry/church, located at Pig farm near old Ebony Park. (on the Olushegun Obasanjo Highway).
It is amazing how the Lord is blessing His church with souls: currently our membership drifted from about 2,506 on the first day to 35,000 (adults and children) and our single branch metamorphosed to 210 branches nationwide and 6 foreign branches in the span of 12years.
CPIC is known to be one of the fastest growing churches in Ghana.
This excellent ministry is driven upon the revelation of God to the visionary and founder Bishop Prof. Annor-Yeboah of blessed memory. In spite of the challenges that exist after God’s calling of the founder into His glory, the church is marching on assiduously under a new leadership: a servant of the Lord in the person of Apostle Stephen Owusu Jackson, who has walked with God all his life and a ‘son’ and friend of the founder for over 30 years.
He is the Head of the church and Chairman of the Apostolic and Governing Councils with the assistance of his two deputies, namely Apostle Moses Boahen and Apostle Daniel Amankwah, both of whom have also walked with the Founder for years and also carry the vision of bringing humanity to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.
Today, CPIC is a household name in Ghana. The church is uniquely identified by its greeting among its members as “call: PRAISE! And response: GLORY!”, and also the slogan known by many in Ghana, which has been the message of hope on TV program, ‘Hour of Restoration’ by the Late Bishop Prof. Annor-Yeboah, “Menkwa Aho) den 3y3 Awuradze” that is to say “God is the strength of my life. CPIC, the church triumphant is still making strides in Ghana and other parts of the world under the watch of its current leadership. The Lord is building His church the gates of hell cannot prevail.
